We are informed that Turkey's police has searched houses and arrested 15 Iranian refugees in the city of Van- border with Iran- on March 1, 03. Most of those refugees belonged to the Iranian opposition who entered into Turkey from the north of Iraq-Kurdistan. They had requested asylum from U.N.

There are some news that the police has prepared the list of refugees in order to hand it over to the Iranian regime which will cause serious safety issues for them, such as torture and possibility the death penalty. The list of refugees is:

9. Ghader Ghazani

13. Keveh Nojavan

Since the region is in a critical situation, we, Iranian human right activists, request that you intervene immediately and ask the Turkish government to respect their obligations regarding international conventions in order to protect Iranian refugees in Turkey.
