On the occasion of October10,
Against the Death Penalty, international day, following Human Rights Activist Groups and organizations,
bring their annual report on the situation of death penalty and widespread,
planned and systematic violation of Human Right in
This report covers the period
between October 2007 and September 2008 and contains the names of the people
who have been executed in
Information gathered in this report
is essentially extracted from the news agencies, news papers and predictive
sites, publishing inside the state and also some exterior sources.
According to this report, 286 death
sentences were executed during the mentioned period which in compare with last
year had 21 more executions.
45 were executed in public: 14 were
political prisoners and 4 were female.
Also from 177 executed prisoners
whose age is mentioned in the report; 3 were under 18 years of age and 64 were
under and equal of 30 years of age.
13 have had less than 18 years of
age while committing the crime.
In our mentioned period,
237 execution sentences were issued which 6 of them were stone to death
sentences; 26 of them have less than 18 years of age and 25 of them are women.
It should be mention
than their name is not listed in this report.
We ask all the social ad civil
organizations, as well as Iranian and international human right activists to
make an effort, more than ever, for putting an end on the death penalty
