In this report a little part of the human rights violations instances in Iran has been compiled

 

Student: Arrested

 

1)        48 student actives of different Iranian universities were arrested by security guards. (2-9 Dec. 2007)

 

2)        Farshad Doostipoor, Sohrab Karimi,Javad Alizadeh and Mohammad Saleh Iuman, four Kurd student ,who had made speech in students’ tribunal of ‘Daftar Tahkim Vahdat’ ,were arrested by security guards. They had objected the Kurd citizens’ condition and the difficulties they are facing. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.10)

 

3)        Sahar Yazdanipoor and Hamdallah Namjo, Shiraz University’s students were arrested by security guards for participating in a students’ objection. (Advar News.2007.Dec.11)

 

4)        Shirzad Hajilo, Kui Azad University student was sentenced to 3 months and 1 day imprisonment for participating Mother tongue’s day gathering. He was arrested by security guards and was transferred to prison. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.13)

 

5)        Parsa Kermanjian, was arrested in Kermanshah University by security guards. He was sent out of the public university for having student activities and is continuing his education in Azad University. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.15)

 

6)        Mehdi Allahyari, Sharif University’s student was arrested in Dec 8Th by security guards for acting against the inner security. He was transferred to Evin Prison. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.16)

 

7)        Bahram Shojai, Tehran Azad university student was arrested and transferred to prison again after being interrogated for several days. (Isna.2007.Dec.19)

 

8)        There is no news from Ali Reza Heidari, Kermanshah Azad university student after being summoned to university’s security office for interrogation. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.21)

 

9)        Younes Mir Hosseini, Shiraz University’s student was beaten and arrested by security guards for acting against the security of state. He was released on bail after 2 weeks. (Isna.2007.Dec.21)

 

10)    Sara Khademi, Milad Moini, Behrang Zandi, Hasan Maarefi and Hamed Mohammadi ,Mazandaran University’s students were released. They were arrested in Student’s day by security guards. (Advarnews.2007.dec.21)

 

*arrested students are under interrogation in special prison’s chain of Sepah Pasdaran and ministry of security.

 

Students: publications’ ban 

 

11)    The student magazine ‘Roozha’ published by Hamadan university’s students was banned by the supervisory committee on students’ publication with the charge of disturbing public opinion by publishing news of the arrested students of Amir Kabir university. (Amir Kabir2007.Dec.3)

 

12)    Supervisory committee on students’ publication of Mazandaran University announced: students magazines are not allowed to be published, unless their editorial staffs attend in journalism courses. (Amir Kabir2007.Dec.20)

 

Students: Summoned and interrogated

 

13)    Five members of Hamadan University’s Islamic association were summoned to disciplinary committees for disposing mourning ceremony for Dr. Zahra Baniyaghob, who had committed suicide suspiciously in Islamic guidance house of detention. (Advar news.2007.Nov.27)

 

14)    Ali Vefghi, Sharif University student and member of Daftar Tahkim Vaahdat central council was summoned to disciplinary committee for participating in illegal gathering and damaging university’s properties. (Advar news.2007.Nov.28)

 

15)    Amir YaghobAli, Tabatabai University’s student was summoned to Tehran revolutionary court, branch no.15.he was charged with acting against the security of state. (Isna.2007.Dec.10)

 

16)    Najmeh Masoomi, Poriya Sharifian, Mohammad Sayadi, Amin Nazari, Mehdi Jamalvand, Reza Jafarian, Siavash Hatam and Mehdi Mosafer, Hamadan University students were summoned to disciplinary committee for participating in a trade gathering. (Bo Ali Cina news letter.2007.Dec.13)

 

17)    More than 30 students of Shiraz University were summoned to disciplinary committee for attending a party and disregarding Islamic codes. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.18)

 

18)    Mohsen Khosravi, Hasan Hasani, Hesam Saidi and Mahmood Hadipoor , Kerman university students and members of Islamic association were summoned to disciplinary committee for disposing free tribune in Students’ day , insulting Islamic rules and making disturbance in university. 19)    Amir Hossein Norbakhsh, Mohammad Mizban and Adel Taeni, Islamic association members of Amir Kabir University were summoned to disciplinary committee. (Advar News.2007.Dec.18)

 

Students: Tried

 

20)    Masoud Ghorbani Nejad , Majid Tavakoli and Ahmad Ghasaban , prisoner students’ of Amir Kabir university were tried for the third time with the charge of insulting blasphemy and authorities.  (Isna.2007.Nov.28)

 

21)    Meisam Rashidi, Tehran university student was tried in Tehran revolutionary court, branch no.15 for acting against the security of state. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.21)

 

Students: Issued sentences 

 

22)    Ali Gholizadeh, Shahrod university ‘s Islamic Association member was sentenced to two semesters of education deprivation .he was charged for insulting ,publishing lies ,acting for the benefits of illegal parties and acting against the security of state. (Advar News.2007.Nov.26)

 

23)    Davood Khodakarami, Zandjan university’s “Islamic party” secretary and editor in charge of “Achigh sooz” magazine was fired. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.10)

 

24)    Akbar Pashayi, Uromiyeh University’s student was sentenced to one year suspended imprisonment. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.10)

 

25)    Ebrahim Dehghan, student activist in Uromiyeh University and editor in charge of the banned student magazine “Yashil Yool” was sentenced to 2 years suspended imprisonment for acting against the security of state. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.12)

 

26)    Farhang Islami and Mehraban Keshavarz ,tabatabai university students were sentenced to one semester education deprivation in disciplinary committee.

27)    Also Hengameh Mazloomi and Aref Roshanai were sentenced to written reprimand in their educational dossier. (Etemad.2007.Dec.13)

 

28)    Behnam NoorMohammadi, Ghahraman Soltani ,Parviz Soltani and Behrooz Khorshidzadeh , azerbaijan’s student activists were sentenced to one year suspended imprisonment  in Shabestar revolutionary court. They were charged with inviting people to participate in mother tongue day.

29)    Behnam NoorMohammadi, Uromiyeh university student and editor in charge of the ‘Obanish’ student magazine was fired. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.13)

 

30)    Mohammad Reza Avazpoor, 16 years old student was sentenced to 5 months imprisonment in Tabriz penal court.he was charged with participating in societies whose intension is to disturb state’s security. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.13)

 

Beaten students by university’s security guards

 

31)    Rashid Esmaili, education deprived student of Tabatabai, was beaten by security guards. (Advar News.2007.Dec.12)

 

32)    Ali Samavatian, former member of Islamic association of Abasspoor University was beaten by security guards. (Advar News.2007.Dec.18)

 

Filtering news sites and dissolving social organisations

 

33)    Security guards had banned commemoration ceremony of Daryoush and Parvaneh Forohar in their home. (Radio Dutch vele.2007.Nov.22)

 

34)    Making speech of Dr. Poran Razavi, Bahareh Hedayat and Mostafa Tajzadeh for student day in Shiraz University was banned. (Norooz.2007.Dec.6)

 

35)    Shab Yald ceremony in ‘Chelcheragh’ magazine was banned by security guards. Mohammad Khatami was invited to the ceremony. (Norooz.2007.Dec.9)

 

36)    Free tribune in Babolsar University for student day was cancelled by security guards. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.12)

 

37)    Making speech of Sorosh Farhadian, former student activist in Arak University was banned. (Norooz.2007.Dec.20)

 

38)    Iranian Women Organization web site was filtered. (Goya News.2007.Dec.12)

 

39)    After disposing a free tribune in Kerman University by Islamic association members, their permission of having association was suspended. They were summoned to disciplinary committee for insulting Islamic Values. (Emrooz.2007.Dec.19)

 

40)    Security police chief of Tehran Province announced: 24 coffee nets and coffee shops were plumbed for offending rules.12 men and 11 women were arrested. 170 coffee nets and coffee shops received notices. (IRIB.2007.Dec.19)

 

41)    Pakdasht Security police chief announced; 3 coffee nets and 4 coffee shops were plumbed for disregarding Islamic codes.  (Jomhori Islami.2007.Dec.20)

 

The Press Banned

 

42)    Feiz Allah Piri, Kurd journalist was fired after working 3/5 years in ‘Sirvan’ weekly magazine. After changing the province’s governor general many of magazine’s staffs were fired. (Mokerian News.2007.Nov.23)

 

43)    Abasalt Abed, ‘Mardom Salari ’  and Reza Avazpoor, ‘Kerman Varzeshi’ dailies’ in charges were attacked by knife and were injured severely. He is semi paralyzed now. (Isna.2007.Nov.26)

 

Journalists; Summoned to courts

 

44)     Editor in charge of ‘Abarchay’ magazine was summoned to Zanjan public court. He was charged with publishing lies for disturbing public opinion. (Fars.2007.Nov.25)

 

45)     Ali Anjam, editor in charge of the ‘Gilan Behtar’ weekly was summoned to Rasht penal court, branch no. 109. He was charged with publishing lies for disturbing public opinion. (Advar News.2007.Dec.7)

 

46)    Morteza Lotfi,  former editor in charge of the ‘ Kar o Kargar’ magazine and Ali Ghanbari editor in charge of the ‘Zagros’ magazine were summoned to  Tehran public court.  (Etemad.2007.Dec.15)

 

47)     Mehdi Rahmanian, editor in charge of the banned daily ‘Shargh’ was interrogated in Tehran government’s employee court. (Isna.2007.Dec.17)

 

Journalists: Interrogated

 

48)    Leila Madani, editor in charge of ‘Karaftoo’ magazine, published in Sanandaj and member of ‘Kurd Writers organization was interrogated in province’s security office. She was interrogated for inviting and talking to human right’s activists in human right day. (Emrooz.2007.Dec.19)

 

 

 

Journalists: Arrested

 

49)    Reza Vali zadeh,’Ketab Hafteh’ journalist, ‘Istgah’ weblog and ‘Baznegar’ web site in charge  was arrested in Tehran by security guards.He was charged with disturbing public Opinion .A 50.000 $ bail sentence is issued for him. (emrooz.2007.Nov.28)

 

50)    Omid Ahmadzadeh , editorial staff member of ‘Aso’ and ‘Didgah’ weeklies was arrested by security guards. (Mokerian News.2007.dec.8)

 

51)    Adel Mazari ‘Sobh Zahedan’ magazine’s in charge was arrested in Zahedan. He was charged with disturbing public opinion. (Etemad Meli.2007.Dec.9)

 

52)    Abolfazl Abedini’s family announced: he was arrested by security guards in 13 November for interviewing Radio Farda and other foreign media about workers strike in Haft Tapeh .he is under interrogation in Ahvaz prison. He was arrested also in 2005 and was released on bail. (Human right activists in Iran.2007.dec.13)

 

Journalists: Sentences issued by courts

 

53)    Ali Nazari, director in charge of the banned magazine ‘Arzesh’, was sentenced to 1100$ monetary punishment. His publishing permission was also cancelled. He was charged with publishing lies for disturbing public opinion and insulting authorities. (Isna.2007.Dec.3)

 

54)    Borhan lahvani and Bahram Valadbeigi, editorial staff of banned weekly magazine ‘Ashti’ were sentenced to 1000$ monetary punishment, each in Sanandaj court. Magazine’s publishing permission was also cancelled. (Mehr.2007.Dec.13)

 

55)    Mohammad Mehdi Faghihi, director in charge of the ‘Entekhab’ predictive site was sentenced to 100$ monetary punishment and 4 months imprisonment in Tehran public court. He was charged with publishing lies for disturbing public opinion and insulting authorities. (Isna.2007.Dec.10)

 

56)    Mohsen Ashrafi, director in charge of the banned daily ‘ Bonyan’ was sentence to 1000$ monetary punishment in Tehran public court. His publishing permission was also cancelled. He was charged with publishing lies for disturbing public opinion and insulting authorities. (Isna.2007.Dec.10)

 

57)    Mohammad Javad Rooh, journalist was sentenced to 100$ monetary punishment and 35 lashes in Tehran public court. He was charged with insulting and publishing lies by writing an article in the banned magazine ‘Yaas-e- No’. (Norooz.2007.Dec.19)

58)    Mansoor Faraji, political activist  arrested for acting against the security of state, propaganda against state and being member of Iran Democrat party was release on 100,000$ bail after 80 days of imprisonment. (Student Committee of Human Right Reporters.2007.Nov.27)

 

59)    Mohammad Nabi Rodaki, Islamic Assembly’s vice president of the state’s security commission said: Some of the arrested students in Dec 4th were the ones guided by out of country’s oppositions who wanted to make new formations in universities. (Mehr.2007.Dec.11)

60)    Zeinab Yousefi , writer and member of  ‘Molavi’ literary association was summoned to revolutionary court for participating in ‘Galavizh’ Festival in Iraq’s Kurdistan. (Rooz.2007.Dec.3)

 

61)    Ali Poorsoleiman, arrested in gathering in front of Islamic Assembly in March 2006 was summoned to Tehran revolutionary court with the charge of acting against the security of state, disobeying Police and disturbing public order. (Isna.2007.Dec.18)

 

62)    Keivan Rafii, human right activist was summoned to Tehran revolutionary court. he was released one month ago after 18 months imprisonment. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.21)

64)    Ashkan Razavi, Jebheh Meli Iran’s in charge in Ghazvin was arrested by security guards. (Advar news.2007.Nov.26)

 

65)    Ali Reza Jahanshahi, clergy in Sirjan Township was arrested by security guards. He was in prison for 3 months before. (Fars. Nov.28)

 

66)    Shahin Esmailpor, Azerbaijan’s political activist was arrested by security guards and was transferred to Meshkin Shar prison for having contact with state’s opposed parties. He was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment and 50 lashes before. (Human right activists in Iran.2007.Nov.29)

 

67)    Yasaman rezai, Fatemeh Abd Allah Vand, Narges Ghafar Zadeh ,Maryam Azimi ,Amir Alizadeh ,Morteza Hosseini and Mohammad Reza Sadeghi, were arrested for supporting Mohammad Hossein Kazemeini Borojerdi. (Bam Azadi.2007.Nov.30)

 

68)    Mohammad Saeed Kohneh poosh, Marivan Townships’ Payam Noor University’s professor was arrested by security guards after making speech for student’s day. (Avay Daneshgah.2007.Dec.18)

69)    Hadi Ghabel ,jebheh Mosharekat Iran’s central council member was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment in Clergy’s special court. (Jahan News.2007.Nov.26)

 

70)    Hossein Asghari, was sentenced to 7 years and 3 months imprisonment in Revision court, branch no.36 for spying and miss using the documents. (Human right activists in Iran.2007.Dec.5)

 

71)    Hamid saedi, Sanandaj cultural activist was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment in province’s revolutionary court .he was charged with propaganda against state. (Mokerian News.2007.dec.8)

 

72)    Saleh Kohandel, Mujahedin‘s partisan was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment in Tehran revolutionary court. He is Evin prison for last 11 months. (Human right activists in Iran.2007.Dec.11)

 

73)    Yousef Zarei, Majid Forozanfar, Jalal Naderi, Yousef Refahiat, Hadi Gholami, Nader Ghadimi, Ali Najafi, Mahmood Jalilian and Ali sadeghi, Hamadan’s teachers’ trade union members were all sentenced to 91 days imprisonment. 74)    Hadi Amadehbash, was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment in clergy’s special court. He was charged with making innovations in religion. He was under torture in Evin prison for 50 days and was tried without attorney. (Human right activists in Iran.2007.Dec.8)

 

75)    Mohammad Ebrahim Rodini, 23 Iranshahr university student and Davood Mozafari,24 were arrestee in Nov.19th in Khomeinishar airport. They were transferred to Zahedan security office. They family had seen the sign of sever tortures on their body. (Human right activists in Iran.2007.Dec.13)

 

Political Prisoners

 

76)    Farzad Kamangar, member of Teachers trade union in Kamyaran province , editorial staff member of banned magazine ‘ Royan’ , member of ‘Asak’ environmental committee and reporter of the Kurdistan’s Human Rights defence Organization was arrested in July 2006. He is under sever tortures since then and was transferred to several prisons. (Rooz.2007.Nov.27)

 

77)    Hedayat Ghazali, Tabatabai university student and Sabah Nasri, Tehran university student were transferred to Sanandaj prison from Evin Prison, chain no.209.they were arrested 4 months ago by security guards. (Kurdistan’s Human Rights defence Organization .2007.Nov.25)

 

78)    Majid Tavakoli, prisoner student in a letter addressed to Ali Khamenei wrote that he was beaten and insulted in prison by Reza Ziai, prison’s assistant. (Advar News.2007.Nov.25)

 

79)    Fatemeh Kamali, Emadaldin Baghi’s wife announced that he was interrogated in isolated cell for 45 days. (Advar News.2007.Nov.26)

 

80)    Mostafa Alavi Jadani was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment .he was charged with making illegal formation by establishing ‘Kanoon Nokhbegan Iran’ (Iranian Geniuses) .He is transferred to Rajai Shahr prison and needs immediate medical treatments. (Human right activists in Iran.2007.Dec.4)

 

81)    Mohammad Ebrahimi, writer of the book ‘Tohid’(unification) kept in isolated cell for 3 years under the accusation of apostasy was transferred to Evin Prison ,chain 8.He needs immediate medical treatments in an equipped hospital.  (Human right activists in Iran.2007.Dec.6)

 

82)    Saeed Matinpoor, Ali Reza Matinpoor ,Behroz Safari , Jalil Ghanilo and Leila Heidari ,kept in different  prisons for 7 months without receiving sentences, were transferred to Evin Prison to be interrogated. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.6)

 

83)    Ejlal Gavami, Sanandaj province’s journalist and member of Kurdistan’s Human Rights defence Organization

84)    is in an urgent need for medical treatment. He was sentenced to 3/5 years imprisonment for acting against the national security. (Kurdistan’s Human Rights defence Organization.2007.Dec.13)

 

85)    Families of Saeed Matinpoor, Ali Reza Matinpoor ,Behroz Safari , Jalil Ghanilo and Leila Heidari found the opportunity to visit them after 7 months because they were transferred from isolated cell to public chains. Their appearance showed they were under severe torture. (Advar News.2007.Dec.17)

 

86)    Ali Aziz’s family visited him after 40 days he passed in isolated cell. He was former member of Amir Kabir University’s Islamic association. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.18)

 

87)    Saeed Habibi, Behrooz Karimizadeh, Peiman Piran and Mehdi Graylo were transferred from Evin Prison’s chains 209 to chains 325 which are under control of Sepah security services. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.19)

 

88)    Yaser Goli, main secretary of “Kurd Students’ Democratic Party” arrested by security guards in Oct.9 is still in isolated cell and can’t have visitors. He will be in temporary detention for more two months. (Amir Kabir.2007.Dec.20)

 

Women movement activists:

 

89)    Zeinab Peighambarzadeh, student’s activist and women movement activist was tried in Tehran revolutionary court, branch no.13. She was charged with disturbing state’s security, disobeying Police order, propaganda against state and disturbing public order. (Isna.2007.Nov.28)

 

90)    Jelveh Javaheri, student, women movement activist, arrested in March 3th gathering and writer of the ‘Taghir Baraye Barabari’ web site was arrested and transferred to Evin prison. She was charged with propaganda against state, disturbing public opinion and publishing lies. (Taghir Baraye Barabari.2007.Dec.1)

 

91)    Nilofar Golkar, student activist of Tehran university, women movement activist and been arrested in March 3th gathering was tried in Tehran public court. She was charged with disturbing state’s security, disobeying Police order and disturbing public order. (Advar News.2007.Dec.16)

 

Workers’ situation

 

92)    By falling in Building in Robat Karim Township a worker was killed and 5 were injured.dis regarding standard features by the contractor caused the accident. (Fars.2007.Dec.26)

 

93)    Mohammad Gh. 42, was killed by falling mountain while digging for making Tunnel in Miameh Township. (Keihan.2007.Nov.28)

 

94)    Ali Najani, Feridon Nikofard and Nejat Dehli worker activists of Haft Tapeh cane-sugar industry were arrested and transferred to prison.

95)    Ramezan Alipoor and Mohammad Heidari, Rahim Basak and Jalil Ahmadi were arrested before by security guards. They were released after being interrogated. (Human right activists in Iran.2007.Dec.3)

 

96)    Workers of ‘Niro Raksh’ industry were on strike, objecting delay on receiving their payments. (Mokerian News.2007.Dec.8)

 

97)    Mahmood Salehi, baker sindicate activist in Saghez Township, sentenced to one year imprisonment is in a critical situation for damages to his only kidney. He was transferred to Hospital from Sanandaj prison. (Kurdistan’s Human Rights defence Organization.2007.Dec.13)

 

98)    Mohsen Hakimi,member of Iranian writer organization, Ali Reza Asgari, Poet , Ebrahim Gohari, Bus Drivers’ syndicate member and Hossein Gholami worker activist were arrested by security guards and transferred to Evin Prison. They were charged with cooperating against the security of state. (Isna.2007.Dec.17)

 

99)    Labours of ‘Pak Ris’ industry in Semnan province did not receive their pay for four months. (Isna.2007.Dec.19)

 

100)     Horam Abad Township’s representative in Islamic assembly said: labours of the different industries in province are gradually losing their jobs .They don’t receive their pays and don’t have any job facilities such as insurance or retirement. (Etemad.2007.Dec.20)

 

Stone to death

 

101)     AbdAllah Farivar, 48, married and father of two was sentenced to be stoned to death for having  an affair. He is in prison for 4 years. (International committee against stone to death .2007.Dec.2)

 

Sentenced to Death

 

102)     Ahmad, 17 was sentenced to death in Tehran penal Court Branch 71, with the charge of murdering his cousin Abolfazal. (Etemad.2007.Nov.22)

 

103)     Gholam, 22, was sentenced to death in Branch 74 of Tehran Penal court, with the charge of murdering Gholam.S. (Etemad.2007.Nov.24)

 

104)     Two men were sentenced to death in Karaj Revolutionary court with the charge of drug dealing. (Iran.2007.Nov.25)

 

105)     Kobra 38 was sentenced to death in public Tehran Court branch no.71 for murdering her son in law. (Iran.2007.Nov.26)

 

106)     Ali Mihan Torabi, 21, sentenced to death in Karaj public court, asked for a new investigation of his case. He had 16 while committed the crime. Amnesty international had asked for nullifying his sentence. (Etemad.2007.Nov.27)

 

107)     Farhad was sentenced to death in Tehran’s Penal Court, branch no.71 with the charge murdering Massod. (Iran.2007. Nov.28)

 

108)     Bagher, Amir, Nader and Abdalhossein were sentenced to death in public in Karaj Revolutionary court with the charge of drug dealing. (Iran.2007.Nov.29)

 

109)     Delara Darabi, was sentenced to death with the charge of murdering her cousin. The issued sentence was confirmed in revision and Supreme Court. She had 17 while committed the crime. (Etemad .Dec.1)

 

110)     Ali Reza was sentenced to 3 times death in Tehran Penal Court, branch no.71, with the charge of murdering Farahnaz, Shohreh and a 50 years old woman. (Etemad.2007. Dec.3)

 

111)     Gholam Reza was sentenced to death in Tehran Penal Court, branch no.71, with the charge of murdering Nader. The issued sentence was confirmed in Supreme Court. (Iran.2007.Dec.3)

 

112)     A young woman was sentenced to death in Karaj Revolutionary court for drug dealing. (Iran.2007.Dec.4)

117)     Nasrin Sotoudeh, Soghra Najafi’s lawyer said: her appointed was released on bail after 18 years of detention with the charge of murdering when she was 13 but she is arrested again and transferred to Rasht prison for being executed. She said number of people executed under the age of 18 is unknown and is more than what we imagine. For example execution of Makoan in Kermanshah prison was not listed any where. 122)     After suspicious death of Dr.Zahra Bani Yaghob 27, in Hamadan detention office, her brother confirmed injuries on her body, while they are saying she had committed suicide.
